Group has short time to raise big cash: Belwin Conservancy raising funds to buy land, save Valley Creek

Afton Belwin is trying to raise $175,000 by Dec. 31 to match a grant from the James Ford Bell Foundation and use those funds, along with money from the Lessard-Sams Outdoors Heritage Council, to pay $600,000 for 17 acres of land where Valley Creek empties into the St. Croix River in Afton.
