Jordan is located in Scott County, 35 miles southwest of the Twin Cities. Its mission statement includes embracing planned growth, while preserving its small town atmosphere.

Situated among wooded bluffs and rolling hills, Jordan has abundant natural resources within its boundaries, and is minutes from the Minnesota Valley Trails State Park and the Minnesota River Valley. Jordan’s historic downtown boasts 15 buildings on the National Register of Historic places and the city is home to many parks, including one with a waterfall.

The city will use CGO’s help to implement its Comprehensive Plan, particularly to update its zoning code, and to train its planning staff.
