Citizens League to study landfill’s future

Livonia Township The Elk River Area Citizens League is launching a study of the role of the city in managing solid waste, particularly as it relates to the future of the landfill. Peter Kimball, chair of the Citizens League, said the Elk River City Council and Livonia Township’s denial of expansion of the landfill raises several questions that affect the daily life of its citizens.
