Solar Tour will include area homes

Pine Island The event, sponsored by the Minnesota Renewable Energy Society (MRES) and done as part of the American Solar Energy Society’s National Solar Tour, allows the public to tour homes, businesses and institutions using solar technology, geothermal heat or wind turbines. At least five homes on the tour are in southeast Minnesota, including two in Rochester and one each in Pine Island, Lanesboro and Red Wing.
