Afton Google Earth Layers

There is a wealth of existing geographic map data freely available, but these datasets are often complicated and so remain in the domain of GIS mapping professionals alone.

We’ve removed the complexities by making the datasets available in Google Earth format. Google Earth is a free tool that lets you fly anywhere on earth and explore aerial photos and linked geographic information.

By providing usable geographic layers of information to communities encountering growth, 1000 Friends of Minnesota hopes to inform and invigorate planning efforts and in doing so help improve the way Minnesota communities plan. Check it out for yourself!
