Norwood Young America - Planner's Corner

Throughout this year, the City of Norwood Young America has been working with Municipal Development Group and the Community Growth Options (CGO) program on implementing the City’s Comprehensive Plan.
Comprehensive plans are guiding documents outlining a community’s vision for their future. Communities use comprehensive plans to help develop policies, regulations, and incentive programs which further their citizen’s priorities and interests.

Norwood Young America has begun their work with the CGO program by focusing on the development of the Legacy Greenway Plan, a priority in the City’s comprehensive plan.

The greenway plan is intended to protect the natural resources associated with the lakes around Norwood Young America, and in doing so create an additional amenity to be enjoyed by residents and visitors. Interested citizens should look for upcoming events on this plan. It is still in the draft stage and now is the time to get involved in the process and make sure your thoughts and feedback are included in the final document.
