Becker Township - Planner's Corner

Becker Township, working with the Community Growth Institute, has just begun the process of revising the Township’s current Comprehensive Plan. Comprehensive plans are guiding documents outlining a community’s vision for their future. Communities use comprehensive plans to help develop policies, regulations, and incentive programs which further their citizen’s priorities and interests. Plans cover topics such as future land use, natural resource protection, transportation goals, and economic development opportunities, among other topics.

The Becker Town Board and Planning Commission are looking for residents who would like to be involved in the Comprehensive Plan revision process.

Broad community input and support is fundamental for a successful process and strong Plan. Meetings on this topic will take place monthly after the regular Planning Commission meetings – all are welcome and invited to attend.
